McDonald’s Gets Customers Right In The Feels With Nostalgic Happy Meal

Lil McDonald's Happy Meal

As a kid, getting a Happy Meal is one of the best parts of eating at McDonald’s. Sure, kids love the nuggets, fries, and apple slices, but any parent will tell you that’s not their favorite part. Kids want the Happy Meal toy. The Golden Arches has long partnered with companies like Disney and Mattel to bring fun and exciting toys to their restaurants. This summer, McDonald’s is shaking things up with 21 miniature toys that look like the restaurant itself. Branded the Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal, the new toys are totally adorable, and both parents and kids will love them.

The Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal Toys Will Be Available Soon

Per a release, the Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal toys will launch on July 7.

“A McDonald’s Happy Meal has always been more than just a meal – it’s a joyful tradition that creates lasting memories for both kids and adults alike,” Anna Engel, Director of Marketing, Brand, Content & Culture for McDonald’s USA said in a statement. “As a parent, there’s something magical about watching your child’s imagination come to life with these tiny toys. That’s what makes Lil McDonald’s so special. It brings back my own childhood memories of playing McDonald’s and now I get to create new ones with my kids.”

With everything from mini fountain drink dispensers to trays and a tiny Boo Bucket, Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal Toys have it all.

“Whoever is in charge of the Happy Meal toys over at McDonald’s HQ needs a RAISE,” a fan demanded on Instagram.

This person agrees with the writing, “Your PR team knows the way to the millennial parent’s hearts-nostalgia of the good old days! I’ll be in line on July 1st.”

This customer had one suggestion for Ronald and friends when they roll out the new Lil McDonald’s Happy Meal toys: “I’m glad we’re bringing back good toys at McDonald’s again. But can we work on not giving the same order that has two happy meals the SAME EXACT TOY? Thanks.”
