McDonald’s Introduces A “Future Icon” To Its Menu

McDonald's Big Arch

McDonald’s has some of the most well-known menu items around. The Golden Arches comes in hot with fast food favorites, from the Big Mac to the Quarter Pounder with Cheese to signature Chicken McNuggets. While many customers love the classics, McDonald’s has to keep evolving to meet the tastes and desires of an ever-changing world. Because McDonald’s is a global brand, their menu is different around the world, which can sometimes make people jealous. Recently, McDonald’s announced a new burger they believe will be a “future icon.” McDonald’s Big Arch looks positively delicious, but there’s a catch. It’s only available in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The McDonald’s Big Arch Is A Gigantic Burger

McDonald’s has teased the Big Arch for a while and many hope it will make it’s way to the United States. For now, UK and Ireland customers will have a chance to try the new burger. Snackolater shared a sneak of the burger in December 2024.

“It contains two beef patties, three pieces of white cheddar cheese, lettuce, pickles, a new Big Arch ‘tangy’ sauce, both fresh and crispy onions, and a brioche bun,” they shared on Instagram.

McDonald’s shared more info about the Big Arch in a statement obtained by Parade.

“For the fans who usually throw in an extra cheeky menu item, this one’s for you. Big McDonald’s hunger deserves a big McDonald’s burger – and this is the most loaded bite we’ve ever served,” Thomas O’Neill, Head of Menu at McDonald’s, stated.

“It’s designed to do two things, it’s designed to satisfy big McDonald’s hunger like nothing else on our menu and it’s also designed to taste amazing,” the brand ensures.

“A new iconic burger needs an equally iconic sauce, and we’ve taken it up a notch with the Big Arch,” Thomas O’Neill added.

We can’t wait to hear more.
