Keith Urban Wows With Stripped Down Version Of His Hit Song On “The Voice.”

Keith Urban sings "Blue Ain't Your Color" on "The Voice." He's playing electric guitar and the lighting around him is a dark blue.

Season 24 of The Voice ended on Tuesday night, and what a stunning season it turned out to be! Fans continue to say that it was the best one yet, and considering how talented the top five are, I certainly agree! But contestants aren’t the only ones known to take to the stage during the competition. Special guests also performed during the finale. This includes Keith Urban with his hit song Blue Ain’t Your Color — a perfect choice since he’s no stranger to The Voice stage.

Although Urban has never been a coach on the U.S. version of The Voice, he has been one in the Australian version. Between his success in that role and his many country hits over the years, Urban continues to be a beloved icon.

It’s no wonder, then, that fans are going crazy over his stripped down performance of one of his classic songs, Blue Ain’t Your Color. The song released in 2016, but with the way folks in the audience react, you’d think it’s brand new.

On stage, it’s just Urban and his electric guitar. An interesting looking screen hangs above him, perfectly adding to the ambiance with various shades of blue and pink. At one point, the screen showcases a bright blue sky with beautifully wispy clouds, perfectly accompanying the lyrics.

“‘Cause blue looks good on the sky,” Urban sings. “Looks good on that neon buzzin’ on the wall. But darling, it don’t match your eyes.”

This incredible performance has prompted fans to express their wish for Urban to be a coach in the U.S. version of The Voice one day.

“Keith should be The Voice US coach,” one fan writes. “Already loved him in the Australian version. What a guy.”
