Keith Urban Makes “Memories That Will Last A Lifetime” For A Resilient Young Fan.

It always warms the heart to learn about about a celebrity who uses their influence to inspire others. Watching a celebrity use that influence to make a child’s dream come true in front of a live audience? Even better!

At a Keith Urban concert in Peoria, Illinois, a young family stood together near the stage. Chase Hammock held up a fluorescent yellow sign while balancing his 6-year-old son, Kellen, atop his shoulders. Written across the sign was an incredible message of survival and hope: “I wasn’t supposed to walk. I wasn’t supposed to talk. Now I’m jammin’ to Keith Urban.”

As you can imagine, this powerful statement soon captured the attention of Keith himself. The country music star approached the family and initiated a conversation. Throughout the exchange, Chase relayed that Kellen had beaten the odds when he learned to walk and talk, despite a grim medical diagnosis. Now, Kellen knows the words to every Keith Urban song!

Touched, Keith reached out to give Kellen a hug and fist pump. Proud mother Whitney Donaldson looked on in amazement while the magical moment was recorded. She later posted the video on Instagram, along with the caption: “Memories that will last a lifetime.”

Watch Kellen’s dream come true in the touching video above, and remember to share the magic!
