Sweet Grandpa Breaks Down When App Makes Photo Of His Late Wife Come Alive.

Jake Larson of Martinez, California, lost his beloved wife of over 50 years back in 1991. The World War II veteran, whom his family knows as “Papa Jake,” is now 98 years old. Thanks to some incredible technology, he was recently able to see his lovely wife’s face come alive for the first time in decades!

The app is called Deep Nostalgia, and it’s made by a company called MyHeritage. The program allows users to upload old photos of their ancestors and watch them magically “come to life” using artificial intelligence. It’s a bit like the moving pictures in the “Harry Potter” movies.

When Papa Jake’s granddaughter used the app to animate her late grandma Lola’s portrait, he couldn’t believe his eyes. “Holy smokes! She’s alive!” he cried.

Naturally, he got a bit emotional thinking about the love of his life. “This past November 23, we would have been married 75 years,” he said. “And I still love her.”

Who is cutting onions in here? Watch Papa Jake see Lola again after 20 years apart in the video below, and don’t forget to share this story.
