As more and more people are getting the COVID-19 vaccine, they are finally feeling confident enough to venture beyond their immediate neighborhoods again. Erica Lusher hasn’t been able to see her parents in over a year due to the pandemic, so once it felt safe, she packed up her young son and traveled 800 miles to their home in Port Orange, Florida.
She didn’t tell her parents she was coming, hoping to surprise them while they were out to eat at a restaurant. In a video, we see Erica bump into her startled mother before heading to the table where her dad is having lunch. The look on his face when he sees his daughter and grandson is pure shock, and he instantly grabs his grandchild to give him the biggest, tightest hug ever.
