What would you do with a professional basketball star’s salary? Chicago Bulls player Coby White revealed that he decided to spend his first paycheck on his mom rather than himself. As a thank you for all her years of hard work and support, he made sure she’d never have to lift a finger again. He even bought her a house!
“The first thing I did was I retired my mom,” said White in a Q&A. “She worked for so long.”
The Chicago Bulls recently shared the player’s words in a Facebook post, and fans of the team have been gushing over his love and generosity in the comments.
“He did the right thing! Good job young man!” wrote one user. Another added, “Great work young man. Keep striving because moms did a great job.”
