Why did these geese cross the road? Because drivers stopped their cars at a green light to make sure they all got across safely! One passenger caught the most adorable video of two adult geese and their little gosling waddling across the street. This footage has gone viral!
In the clip, the family of geese waits at the corner before they cross the road, making sure it’s safe first. When they see that all the cars have stopped for them, they quickly make their way to the other side of the street. With one adult in front, one behind, and their baby in the middle, they look just like a human family escorting their child across the busy intersection!
In the caption of her video, TikToker Sierra wrote how touched she was that so many drivers were willing to stop so that these geese could cross the road.
“Sometimes you get reminded about how gentle humans can be — everyone stopping at a green light to let this little family across,” she posted.
These geese observed traffic etiquette while crossing the road!
Commenters were delighted by the clip of these geese crossing the road. A few pointed out that the birds were surprisingly polite about it!
“I can’t believe they used the crosswalk and actually hurried across,” wrote one user.
Another said, “The fact that they use the sidewalk AND the crosswalk is just so cute to me lol.”
However, not all geese are so courteous when they cross the road. Another video on TikTok shows a much larger family of these brazen birds bringing traffic to a halting stop in the middle of a busy highway!
Although these geese were a little more forceful in their mission to cross the road, it’s still nice to see that so many drivers stopped for them. What a beautiful reminder to be kind to the other creatures we share our planet with!
