If you’re in need of a dose of silliness, Gary the turkey is the perfect supplement. This turkey has found his way into the streets of West Michigan, and the hearts of many!
Gary, first spotted a few years ago, was found wreaking havoc in the streets of Kentwood, Michigan. He’d find his way into traffic, halting cars and creating mischief.
The original Gary the turkey passed away in 2022, but his legacy remains with the discovery of Gary Jr. His namesake continues the original Gary’s mischief.
A Facebook community has formed around Gary and Gary Jr., full of fans who love to spot the turkey in action. Over 1,000 people post and interact on the page, getting delight from following Gary Jr.’s antics.
One member of the Facebook group, Cathy Kutchinski, commented on the evolution from Gary to Gary Jr.
“He’s following in his footsteps,” Cathy said. “Same antics of stopping traffic, chasing cars, blocking people from getting out of their driveways.”
Hilarious.
Following the silliness of Gary Jr. is “something that’s brings some positive light to dark times,” Cathy said.
