One local kid band brought their whole community together with their incredible cover of a favorite 1990s classic. These talented children really rocked out while playing “Zombie” by The Cranberries. Judging by the rapt attention they received from their audience, the song seems to have gone over pretty well. Now that they’ve posted a video of their performance to social media, these musicians have amassed quite a few fans online!
This impressive kid band is called The Basement, and you can follow them on X. According to their bio, these four musicians are from Omaha, Nebraska. They’ve been together for less than a year, but you’d never be able to tell based on their playing. It sounds like they’ve been jamming together for ages!

Commenters loved seeing this neighborhood come together to support this amazing kid band. It’s safe to say that these young musicians really killed it with their rendition of “Zombie” by The Cranberries.

In another video on YouTube, The Basement shared footage of a live peformance at an actual venue! This kid band played the Candlelight Lounge in February, and they absolutely crushed their setlist filled with old and new favorites. Songs included “Blitzkrieg Bop” by The Ramones, “All the Small Things” by Blink-182, and, of course, “Zombie” by The Cranberries!
Once again, commenters were dazzled by these fantastic musicians! Some adults were especially thrilled to see these children performing the songs they grew up with. This kid band really knows their music history!
