Prince William And Kate Middleton Make Sweetest Call To Kids Of Essential Workers.

While COVID-19 has closed most schools, some are keeping their doors open for the children of essential workers.

Casterton Primary Academy in Burnley, England, has become a haven for kids who need a place to go as their parents work tirelessly to fight the pandemic. Their moms and dads aren’t the only ones feeling the gratitude. This awesome school received a personal thank-you call from the duke and duchess of Cambridge!

Just a few days before Easter, Prince William and Kate Middleton made a video call to teachers and students at Casterton.

In a clip, we see that the kids (and even some staff members) are wearing adorable bunny ears as they wave enthusiastically to the royal couple. Of course, the two of them can’t help but laugh.

Two students, Harris and Lloyd, hold up pictures they drew of their moms. Then Harris explains that his mom works for the National Health Service and adds that he’s proud of her hard work.

“I agree, you should be very proud of her,” Kate says. “They’re doing an amazing job, all the NHS workers.”

Next, the duke and duchess chat with two sisters, who show off the paper flowers and Easter bags they made.

William and Kate make a point to thank the teachers and staff members who are caring for these little ones in the midst of a crisis – and to wish them a happy Easter!

“For all the parents who are key workers, to know that their children, the normality is there for them and they’ve got the structure and they’ve got a safe place to be, so really, really well done,” Kate adds. “I know it’s not easy circumstances, but it’s fantastic.”

Like Kate and William, we couldn’t be more grateful to all the essential workers, not to mention the teachers, who are doing so much to help others! Every child needs love and stability right now, and Casterton is doing a great job of providing that.
