Road rage is defined as “a motorist’s uncontrolled anger that is usually provoked by another motorist’s irritating act and is expressed in aggressive or violent behavior” in the Merriam-Webster dictionary. Unfortunately, it has become a daily occurrence on our roadways. When one man cut off another driver and pulled alongside him, he expected some road rage. The driver the man cut off did “flip the bird,” but instead of road rage, it was just a rubber chicken.

The man recording was the driver that cut off the man in the truck. We’re not sure if it was accidental. The driver could only stare at the truck driver, who used a rubber chicken to vent his road rage. Holding the chicken up, the man grasped it gently by the neck. He moved the head of the rubber chicken back and forth in a “tsk-tsk, shame on you” manner.

The man’s silence and disapproving stare were his only displays of displeasure. His classy use of the rubber chicken to make a statement is an excellent alternative to road rage.

According to The Zebra, 92 percent of motorists witnessed some form of road rage in 2023. SafeMotorist reports that 218 murders and 12,610 injuries over the past seven years are the result of road rage incidents. Imagine how nice the world would be if everyone responded with a rubber chicken instead of road rage.
