An employee at a Dollar General in Silver Creek, New York, is spreading joy to customers one handwritten note at a time. Key-holder Nova Logan posts her inspirational messages all over the store for patrons to find. She hopes that these positive notes will help to put people in a better mood. As she told WGRZ, she understands what it’s like to have a bad day.

“I notice with customers, they’ll have a bad day and reflect it on me,” Nova said. “I don’t like to do that.”

Instead, this employee prefers to put her energy toward creating upbeat, handwritten notes for everyone to enjoy.

“Hopefully, people see them and come back and have a better day if they were having a bad day,” she explained.

Nova began working at Dollar General a year ago, and she’s been posting her handwritten notes pretty much since the beginning. Her distric manager, Haskel Porter, says that her sunny attitude affects not only the store’s customers, but other employees, as well.

“Her passion for serving others is contagious. It’s infectious for the store team and the customers in this community,” he said. “It’s a joy to see people like that still exist in this world.”

Keep spreading your positive messages, Nova! Everyone loves to see them.
