After being compared to Dobby, a character from the Harry Potter franchise, this stray cat found out that their unique appearance made them special. Spotted on the streets in Garut, Indonesia, the small feline stood out for having enormous and unusually shaped ears and eyes. Someone decided to take a video of the kitty and post it on social media. Oddly enough, the footage changed this cat’s life!
As more users watched the video, they couldn’t help but comment on the cat’s resemblance to both Dobby and “Baby Yoda”, the fan name for Grogu in The Mandalorian.
“It’s giving Dobby,” someone wrote of the stray cat.
“Baby Yoda as a kitten,” another person added.
Thanks to all the traction the TikTok video received, the unique-looking kitty found a new home! According to the New York Post on YouTube, someone adopted the “Baby Yoda” cat after seeing them on social media. Apparently, there were plenty of contenders who were ready and willing to take in the feline celebrity. This included the person who originally caught the footage!
“Many people wanted to adopt the cat, but not long after the video went viral, someone had adopted the cat and I was sad because at first I wanted to take care of it,” said the TikToker.
What a beautiful reminder that what some consider flaws, others may find irresistible. We don’t have any information about the Dobby look-alike’s new owners, but we’re hoping this cat went to a great home!
