Hannah Hillebrand is the adult daughter of a police officer in Kansas. She is a teacher and a dog mom to two adorable pups. One day, Hannah challenged her cop dad to see if he could catch her. He was in full uniform while she wore tennis shoes, leggings, and a t-shirt. Pretty sure he had on his body armor, too, but he agreed to the showdown. The results were not what we expected.

She got a slight head start, but Sarge was nipping at her heels. The chase wasn’t very dramatic, but there was an added touch we didn’t expect. Did you catch the shift to “body cam” view? Don’t worry, it wasn’t his official body cam. They taped a phone to his chest to get the effect, which we thought was a brilliant touch of realism. The choice of music took many of us back to the days of watching similar “races” play out in real time on network TV. The entire scene had the feel of an episode of “Cops.”
A dad who is also a cop is a special breed of human. It’s a dangerous job, so when one of their brothers falls in the line of duty, they step up to fill that gap. When a pretend cop dad tried to arrest his daughter, she took off running. Like the sergeant, he had to chase his daughter. Fortunately for the pretend cop, his daughter wasn’t quite as fast as Hannah.
