Actor and comedian Danny DeVito is a family man at heart, and he recently provided some insight into how parenthood affected his approach to his art. His conclusions are playful and insightful, just like Danny!
Danny is 79 years old and the father to three children: Lucy, Jake, and Grace. His career choices later in his life were totally affected by his relationships with his little ones!
For example, Danny said in an interview with Christian Post that he took on My Little Pony, Hercules, and Matilda because of his kids’ fondness for those stories.
Despite decades between his children playing with little ponies and him being involved in the film, he still took on the projects because of his memories of young fatherhood.
Danny DeVito isn’t the only actor in the family, either. Danny’s child, Lucy DeVito, is an actor as well, and the two have collaborated on a few different works together!
The two recently appeared on Broadway in a comedy play called I Need That. How cool is that?!
“Wowowowowow!!!!” commented a fan of the DeVito family on Lucy’s post.
Obviously, family has had an influence on Danny DeVito, and we’re all the better for it. While Danny is known for his NSFW role in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the actor clearly has a passion for family-friendly work, too.
