Cracker Barrel Backpedals With Another Huge Announcement After Intense Logo Backlash

Cracker Barrel

It’s been a heck of a few weeks for Cracker Barrel, and not in a good way. The 56-year-old restaurant chain received major backlash after remodeling restaurants and changing the company logo. Cracker Barrel customers swiftly took to social media to express outrage with the brand seemingly taking away everything they loved. At first, it seemed Cracker Barrel would remain steadfast in its decisions, but customer complaints apparently changed some minds. First, Cracker Barrel announced it would no longer remove the beloved Uncle Herschel from the company logo. That made many people happy, but what about the changes in the restaurants? They listened to that, too.

Cracker Barrel Will NOT Remodel More Restaurants

On September 9, Cracker Barrel announced the big news. Fans no longer have to worry about the fate of their favorite restaurant’s décor.

“You’ve shared your voices in recent weeks not just on our logo, but also on our restaurants. We’re continuing to listen. Today, we’re suspending our remodels. If your restaurant hasn’t been remodeled, you don’t need to worry, it won’t be,” the company shared on X. “With our recent announcement that our ‘Old Timer’ logo will remain, along with our bigger focus in the kitchen and on your plate, we hope that today’s step reinforces that we hear you.”

The news made many people happy.

“Excellent, there was no need for that ‘modernization,” someone shared. “Your actual customer base didn’t want it. CEO should be fired.”

“I know we all want the CEO fired but she did listen to her customers. I think that should count for something,” another person noted.

“This is the way. Listen to the customers,” someone wrote.

And this person can’t wait to give Cracker Barrel a try.

“Yay. I know it’s hard to believe but I’ve never been to a Cracker Barrel but I’m going to go now and enjoy breakfast for dinner. Can’t wait,” they shared.
