Chuck E. Cheese Launches Chuck’s Arcade Where An Adult Can Be A Kid Again

Chuck's Arcade

For Gen X and Millennial parents looking for a break from reality and a dose of nostalgia, we’ve got huge news. If you grew up in the heyday of Chuck E. Cheese or maybe you lived in a town with ShowBiz Pizza, you remember how exciting they were. Sure, the pizza was good, but the real draw for many kids were the games. If you grew up collecting quarters just in case you got to hit the arcade, this is for you. CEC Entertainment, Chuck E. Cheese’s parent company, announced Chuck’s Arcade. It’s a new concept for adults, and it sounds awesome.

Chuck’s Arcade Locations Are Open In Shopping Malls Across The United States

There are currently 10 Chuck’s Arcades open, with more locations coming, according to a news release.

“Chuck E. Cheese has spent decades mastering the arcade experience — it’s in our DNA,” David McKillips, CEO of Chuck E. Cheese, shared in a release. “Thanks to the expertise of our talented technicians and the successful transformation of almost 500 fun centers worldwide, we’ve built the operational and creative foundation to take our brand beyond our traditional four walls. Chuck’s Arcade is a natural evolution — an opportunity to extend our arcade legacy into new formats that engage both lifelong fans and a new generation through a curated mix of retro classics and cutting-edge experiences.”

Chuck’s Arcade mixes cutting-edge video game technology and classics like Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Mortal Kombat, Donkey Kong, and Centipede.

Chuck E. Cheese shared a video of the new arcades on Instagram, and people love the idea.

“Love this concept. Mixing old and new games, modern style and retro style prizes, and preserving old wall art and Animatronics are exactly what Chuck E. Cheese needed As a lifelong gamer, I’m still big on retro gaming and love the YouTooz Plushies, and retro Pizza Time Theatre and Mr. Munch shirts,” a fan shared.

But lots of people think Chuck’s Arcade should incorporate one little piece of iconic Chuck E. Cheese and ShowBiz history to knock it out of the park.

“Please consider doing a location with functioning animatronics,” someone suggested.

“Like soo close capitalize on the nostalgia we all have?? Bring back the animatronics, and mix in some classic chuck e cheese games with the new age ones,” another person agreed. “Like I want to stomp spiders and get a thermal picture too.”
