When Beau Dermott announced she’d be singing “Defying Gravity” from the Broadway hit Wicked, more observant among us might notice the slightest of eye rolls Simon… but his skepticism didn’t last long. This was about to be one of the most stunning performance of the 2016 season.
From the first note, everyone in the audience sat transfixed and mouths agape as Beau performed with the range, tone, and emotion of a singer in her thirties or fourties. She made her way through the song with powerful grace that you’ll feel in your bones… it really is incredible watching her performance.
