NBC’s “The Voice”has given us some truly amazing performances. Remember when this contestant performed a gospel song and turned his performance into a worship service? Then there was the time a Latina singer stunned the judges by taking a big risk with the first-ever blind audition sung entirely in Spanish? It’s certainly been a crazy few seasons, but let’s take a look at some incredible up and comers from The Voice Kids.
A few years ago on The Voice Kids Australia, a youngin’ named Alexa Curtis gave a powerhouse performance that left the judges dizzy. The pint sized performer sang a rendition of Alicia Keys’ smash hit “Girl On Fire” that’s racked up nearly 100 million views on YouTube.
We’ve never felt chills so strong as those when Alexa began to sing. The little one had incredible control and poise usually reserved for practiced professionals, but it was clear from the first note that Alexa was born to sing.
Alexa went on to win that season of The Voice Kids Australia with flying colours. The 10-year-old put Queensland on the map in a big way and surely has quite the career ahead of her. Check out her original audition in the video below!
