There is so much about life that makes it wonderful. At the end of the day, however, what matters the most is who you spend your one life with. This becomes even more clear as people near the end of their life. And it’s something Catie was reminded of around nine years ago when her grandma passed away. Leading up to that day, Catie and her mom both spent quite a lot of time with grandma.

There is no doubt that these last few days were more precious than gold. Thankfully, Catie thought to capture a few of their last moments on camera. Now, she and Mom still watch them back, and it provides them such great comfort. Watch a couple of them for yourself in the tear-jerking video below.
“When my mom was a baby, my grandma fed her, told her stories, and how much she loved her,” Catie writes in the caption of her post. “At the end of her life, my mom did the same for her.”

Both Catie and Mom were with Grandma when she passed away. This is something that Catie says was “such a sacred experience.” She also believes that “the power and love of a mother is unlike anything else.”
“Thank you for allowing us into this special moment,” a commentor shares in reply to Catie’s video, another adding, “This is a treasure to have!”
It’s never easy to say goodbye to a loved one, no matter how much of a heads-up you’re given. So here’s to the much-needed reminder that every second we get with the people we love is more precious than words.
