Robert Irwin Gets Emotional Talking About The Generational Impact His Father Had

Robert Irwin speaks into a microphone while sitting at a table.

Steve Irwin accomplished so much in his short life. He helped create the Australia Zoo, taught about wildlife in shows and documentaries, and advocated for animals of all kinds. It’s no wonder, then, that so many consider him to be an impactful person in their lives. Although his son, Robert Irwin, was only three years old when Steve died, the memories he does have of his father mean the world to him.

In addition to his own memories, Robert is reminded of how great his father was through the lasting impact he continues to have on others. In a podcast interview, Robert shares a common sentiment he hears from fans, especially those without good father figures in their lives. Even now, he gets choked up talking about it.
