’90s Country Megastar Takes The Stage Amid Health Battle

Clay Walker

Clay Walker was one of the biggest country music hitmakers in the 1990s. He made the ladies swoon with songs like If I Could Make A Living, Dreaming With My Eyes Open, and Hypnotize the Moon. His life changed direction in 1996 when he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at just 26 years old. That didn’t stop Clay. He kept working and powered through the challenging days. Fans Cheered Clay Walker On

Drew Haley posted a TikTok of Clay Walker performing a cover of Prince’s Purple Rain, and he sounded amazing.

“This man never got the recognition and respect for his talent he’s such a good artist,” a fan wrote.

Even this person thought Clay Walker nailed it. “I usually haaaaaate Prince covers, but I didn’t hate this.”

“Had myself a Clay Walker cassette tape in my 20’s, I think I wore that thing out.I absolutely love his voice. He’s so talented. I may even had a little crush on him,” another fan recalled.

“Multiple sclerosis kept Clay Walker from being an even bigger star. He was so young when he was diagnosed… and right as his fame was peaking,” a Tik Toker wrote.

Clay Walker kept singing and performing and worked on his foundation to help others.

“As someone who has lived with Multiple Sclerosis for several years, I decided to DO something about it. After being diagnosed in April of 1996 with Relapsing Remitting MS, the first thing that crossed my mind was, “exactly what is MS?” The truth is, not much is known about the cause of MS and there is currently not a ‘cure,'” he shared on his website.
