Imagine being 13 years old and having one of your favorite musicians single you out to help them sing your favorite song. It’s a dream scenario, for sure, but that’s exactly what happened to Sophie Kotkis in 2013.

In addition to being legally blind, she also has hearing and muscle difficulties. Her older sister, Ellie Kotkis, says Sophie’s condition has never stopped her from doing what she can to help others. In fact, she once raised over $1,000 for multiple sclerosis!
Sophie also loves to sing and dance. But going to a concert seemed out of the question due to her mobility issues. That’s why Ellie decided to make a short video about her little sister so she could send it to the teenager’s favorite singer, Beyoncé.
We can only imagine how thrilled she was when Beyoncé’s team actually reached out to invite Sophie and Ellie to their show in Perth, Australia! During the concert, Beyoncé found her special guest in the crowd and let her sing a few lines of “Irreplaceable” all the while gently stroking the child’s face.
“It was amazing,” Ellie said. “Beyoncé is her favorite. When ‘Single Ladies’ came on, she jumped up and was dancing, and everyone was watching her dance.”
