Superstar a capella group has teamed up with her more than once to give an update to her 1973 hit “Jolene.” First, they invited her to collaborate in a music video with them for the song, then Pentatonix and Dolly Parton sang the number live with Miley Cyrus in a chill-worthy performance!
We loved seeing Dolly Parton collaborate with those younger artists because it reminded us of how timeless her music is; it appeals to any generation… and now, we have proof that it is even appealing to the youngest generation!
A mom from Lansing, Michigan named Brooke just caught a video of her 2-year-old singing Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” and the footage is going viral.
The little toddler may not understand every word of the song, but she definitely gets the passion and emotion behind it! The best part is, the child’s song is totally unprompted. At the beginning of the video, Brooke sneaks around the corner to catch her singing all by herself.
“A lot of people have been asking me, when did I notice Sophia loved to sing?” wrote on Facebook after the video took off. “That’s such a hard answer because it’s hard to remember a time when she wasn’t singing or enjoying the music or being a drama queen.”
Even Dolly Parton herself saw the video, and she shared it on Twitter saying it warmed her heart.
