Way back in 1973, Dolly Parton wrote and recorded one of her most famous songs, ‘Jolene.’ Named one of the greatest songs of all time by Rolling Stone magazine in 2004, the tune just never seems to get old. According to Parton, Jolene is also the most covered song by other artists of all the ones she has written.

The song tells the story of a woman confronting the stunningly beautiful ‘Jolene’ and imploring her not to take her man. Apparently, it was inspired by an auburn haired bank clerk that flirted with Parton’s husband when they were newlyweds. Dolly has performed the song with several famous artists including Pentatonix.
Now, more than 4o years later, Parton decided to team up with the talented bunch of youngins again to give her song another incredible A Capella spin. The melodic result was pure magic.
This time around, The Pentatonix and Dolly Parton invited Miley Cyrus (who has also covered the famous song) to revamp the timeless classic on a recent episode of The Voice.
With just their vocals, the group gives the country icon’s song a hauntingly, beautiful twist, complete with perfect harmonies and a little beatboxing. Parton of course, put on a flawless performance and Miley certainly held her own.
