When Pentatonix broke into the music scene in 2011, their incredible skill and A Capella style took the world by storm. Their main body of work consists of covers of existing songs, medleys and even some original material. The two time Grammy-winning group is solely supported by a mix of tight harmonies and extremely technical beatboxing skills, and the final result is always a treat to hear.

Originally from Arlington, TX, these five friends have been blowing minds ever since their debut on the Sing Off in 2011. We’ve seen them take classic songs like “Midnight Train To Georgia”and “Thriller”and turn them into A Capella masterpieces, but the cover in the video below is really something special.
This time around, The Pentatonix teamed up with the world famous Dolly Parton to revamp her timeless classic “Jolene.” With just their vocals, the band gives the country icon’s song a hauntingly, beautiful twist, complete with perfect harmonies and a little beatboxing. Parton of course, puts on a flawless performance.
A day after the video was released, Parton praised the band’s talent calling the rendition “pure magic” and lots of fun to perform. Check out this A Cappella update of a timeless classic below.
