2 Boxers Meet Newborn “Sister” In Adorable Video.

Bringing home a new baby when you already have a fur baby in residence can be the source of anxiety, no matter how gentle and well behaved your dog may be. Will he get spooked by all the new noises? Will he view the baby as a new member of the pack or as a source of competition?

Some dogs take a while to adjust to the new routine, but others seem to take to the little newcomers right away.

For the boxers in the video below, this introduction was a long time coming — too long, if their tail wagging is any indication — and they couldn’t be happier to have another little human to watch over.

YouTuber ourboxergirls explained that the two boxers, Ella and Mia, were both adopted from a boxer rescue organization and had previously worked as hospice therapy dogs. With that kind of training, there couldn’t have been much doubt that Ella and Mia would welcome this baby girl with paws wide open.

In the adorable video below, Dad walks in and sets the baby girl down on the couch, nestled comfortably and securely in her car seat. Ella and Mia make their way over seconds later, their tails already wagging furiously as they sniff and snuffle their way around the tiny little bundle inside.

Even when Dad takes the baby out of the car seat and cradles her in his arms, the two pooches instinctively know not to invade her space and maintain a respectful distance.

More than three years have passed since the video was published, and the baby girl is now a toddler, no doubt with countless play dates with her dogs under her belt. Below, she and Dad are messing around with Mia, who still knows no matter how big she gets, she’s not to be roughhoused with.
