The greatest gift you can give someone is a secure, loving family.
Paige and Daniel Zezulka of Athens, Georgia understand that concept better than most couples their age. For the past three years, they’ve been foster parents to three children who wanted nothing more than a loving home to call their own. Although they’re all under 10, these kids had already traveled a rough road, and the oldest daughter, Ivey, in particular had dreamed of the day that Paige and Daniel (who she has long considered Mom and Dad) would make it official.

For three years, Paige and Daniel cared for their three foster children, showering the kids with all of the love and affection they’d been missing during their early years. Each day, their bond grew ever stronger, and it was clear that this love was here to stay.

Adoption is a slow process, and last week, Paige and Daniel finally got the news it was going to happen– on Ivey’s birthday! The couple quickly pulled together “one more present” for Ivey, a small box that would contain all of the joy in the world.

As Ivey opens up the box, Paige and Daniel wait eagerly to see how she’ll react to the plaque inside…
“I’m going to be adopted?” she asks. Cue the instant tears!

“We love you, sweetheart. We’ll always be your parents,” Daniel whispers to the weeping child.
“Can you believe it? God is too good,” Paige tearfully tells her daughter. It’s truly impossible to watch this incredible moment without feeling ALL of the emotions. We’re just so happy for this little girl and her siblings, and for Daniel and Paige, too!
“This will be my favorite video I ever share,” Paige wrote when she shared the video on Facebook. “This was the day we told our daughter that we were going to be able to adopt her (and her brother and sister)!

“She had been praying to be adopted and we found out on her birthday that it was going to happen! God’s timing was perfect! Our kids spent 1,128 days in foster care, over 3 years. It is so hard on children to live in such uncertainty. Adoption is amazing and we want others to know that adopting older children and sibling groups can be the most beautiful adventure you could ever have!”

On August 24th, the Zezulka family went to court and officially welcomed all three children into their family.
