There are some people whose personalities shine like a beacon of joy for all around them. Dorian Young is one of those people!
Dorian has been working as a UPS delivery driver for the past three years. He even manages to maintain his good humor while working during the busy holiday season! So when he arrived at the Louisville, Kentucky home of Toni and Jason Barnett and found a snack cart waiting for him, he couldn’t hide his excitement.
In a video, Dorian pauses to take a picture of the snack cart before looking into the doorbell camera and telling the residents, “You guys are the best.”
“Ooh, Capri Suns are my favorite! Yoooo,” he enthuses, bouncing up and down like a little kid.
Toni and Jason say they started putting a cart full of snacks and drinks on their porch during COVID to thank the essential workers who kept deliveries coming throughout the pandemic. They enjoy watching all of the drivers’ reactions to the snack cart, but they found Dorian’s enthusiastic response especially priceless.
“I love the reaction we’ve gotten from the snack cart,” said Toni. “That is by far the best one. He is just full of excitement.”
“He’s a character,” Jason agreed. “He’s so animated, it just… when she showed it to me I was just like, ‘Oh, this guy is hilarious. She posted it, and next thing you know, it just blew up. It’s all him; it’s not us!”
Dorian’s adorable reaction went viral on TikTok. The driver celebrated his newfound internet fame by swinging by the Barnett’s home again, this time to deliver some gifts of his own. He brought them some food goodies and some official UPS gear. It’s just his way of saying thank you for their kindness and consideration.
“It feels really awesome, you know?” he said of receiving gifts from customers on his route. “Like you’re really appreciated.”
