Son Uncovers Father’s Hidden Love Note To Mom Months After His Death.

When Becca asked her husband to build her a workbench for her to use for her metal engraving projects, she had no idea about the secret tribute to their enduring love that he’d written on the wooden seat.

Her husband, Mason, died from a ruptured artery in February 2016, without ever revealing the secret hiding  place. And she may never have known about it — who looks on the bottom of a seat, after all? — if not for her son, who discovered the note while repairing the seat, several months later.

“I love you Becca 🙂 Whatever day this is, I hope it’s a good one. God truly answered my prayers the day he gave me you. I know that these days are the best I’ll ever have, I’m glad you’re in them.

I’m not sure if you’ll ever see this, but if you do, just know that I love you very much. If there is one thing I want in life, it is to be as good to you as you are to me. If I can do that, I’ll be the happiest man alive.

I love you beautiful wife 🙂

Becca’s son, whose relationship with Mason mirrored a biological father and son, posted the image on Imgur soon after the discovery. Before it was removed, the post was seen by at least 900,000 viewers, who absolutely adored the heartfelt sentiment:

LittleThings

‘Your dad was a lucky man to find the love of his life and treat her accordingly. I’m sorry for your loss.’

‘Only real men express their feelings this way. What a real gentleman.’

The son, going by ButAnywayHeresWonderwall, thanked the many who commented on Mason’s endearing and personalized message to his beloved wife:

“Thanks for the love guys. I only ask that you love one another so there can be peace. Leave the world better than you found it.â€
