It actually glows in the dark at night! This creative decorator shared photos of her mesmerizing floor on Reddit, and the results are truly out of this world.
“I made a hidden glow-in-the-dark galaxy in my resin kitchen floor,” reads the woman’s caption.
In a comment, she explained how she combined a variety of colors to create the whimsical galaxy effect with resin on her floor.
“We originally did a galaxy on the floor that was a silver base with blue and purple swirls, but it turned out too silver,” she wrote. “When it dried, we poured another layer, this time clear with chunky holographic blue glitter, dark purple, and turquoise. Then after that one dried, we poured another layer of clear w/glitter and a small bit of silver for accent lines.”
She added, “The final layer took 8 different colors of glow in the dark powder mixed in clear resin, which is almost invisible when the lights are on. No one will have any idea about the hidden galaxy until the lights are off.”
To demonstrate her point, she shared a picture of her kitchen in the daylight. Although the galaxy doesn’t glow, the swirling colors of the resin floor are still quite beautiful!
