When X user Celia’s daughter asked her, “Do you ever have any regrets, Mom?” She thought for a short while and then answered that she regretted not buying a puffin sweater she had seen in Iceland three years earlier. While this may seem like a trivial regret to some, it carried meaning for Celia. She shared the story of the puffin sweater in a tweet on X and had an unexpected and unbelievable response.

My daughter asked, “Do you ever have any regrets, Mom?” And while I know she was asking this question on a philosophical level, my mind immediately went to this puffin sweater I saw in Iceland.

It’s been 3 years since I saw it in a shop there, & I still regret not buying it. pic.twitter.com/pnkVePdmaB
Dave Wiskus responded that he had the identical sweater he had purchased for his wife, who had never worn it. He volunteered to send it to Celia if she covered the shipping from New York City to Berlin.

With arrangements in place, the sweater began its journey halfway around the world. Dave was true to his word and wanted nothing more than the shipping price. The sweater sells online for 220 euros or just over $236 USD.
The sweater traveled to Berlin in record time. Celia was elated. She made a second post to model the sweater. It fits her perfectly. Who could ask for more? The entire exchange, from the first post to the sweater’s arrival, was only ten days!
People are amazing!

Just 10 days ago, I shared a thought about one of my regrets in life. Of course, not buying a sweater sounds like a minor regret, but SO MANY could relate!
And then @dwiskus made my wish a reality. This sweater made it from NYC to Berlin in record time! 🐧 https://t.co/cWArXbQnxu pic.twitter.com/hgf0yl9tgC
Many of the comments under the puffin sweater tweet expressed interest in following the story. After receiving the sweater, Celia made the new post and then returned to add to her original post to keep those folks in the loop. The entire saga is a testament to the beauty of many people. Dave, with his generosity, has shown us that the world can still be kind.

Celia no longer has to regret not buying the sweater, and Dave no longer regrets buying it.
