The first snowfall of the year is always wonderful. Going outside with a fresh blanket of white, pristine snow can bring out the child in all of us. The wonder increases tenfold if you are from an area that doesn’t usually get much snow. In a video posted on Reddit, a user reveling in the beauty of a fresh snowfall decided to give snow angels a fresh twist. Rather than lying in the snow, the user used her face to make “snow angels” in the freshly fallen snow.
Sometimes you just want to be silly.

With the first impression, the young lady pushed an expressionless face into the snow. When she pulled away, the imprint was near-perfect.
Satisfied with her first face snow angel, she thought for a second before deciding on her second pose. Duck lips for the win! Pushing her lips into the familiar duck lips pose, she leaned forward and made another imprint. Looking back at the camera with a snowy face, she looked back down to inspect her second impression.
After a short contemplation, the young woman screamed, mouth wide open, before plunging back into the fresh snow. The result was striking.
The next impression was a little tongue-in-cheek, or more accurately, tongue hanging out. With her mouth open wide and her tongue extended, she once again plunged her face into the snow. The imprint showed the tongue clearly. On this attempt, she accidentally pushed into the snow too hard. The result was snow on her cheek and her ski cap, which she quickly brushed off.
Rediscovering The Childhood Joy Of Snow Angels
She finished with a quick profile imprint. Throughout the video, the woman’s smile relayed the sheer joy of “being a kid again.” When we become adults, we often lose that ability because we are too busy, distracted, or exhausted. It can be fun to revisit our youth and play in the snow without a care in the world. The resulting face snow angels were pretty cool.
As life gets stressful, it is good for your mental health to allow moments of unbridled joy. Become a kid again. When the snow falls, go out and make snow angels, face imprints, have a snowball fight, or make iced “snow” coffee. Laugh, get wet and cold, and enjoy the refreshing sense of calm that will result. You are never too old to explore your inner child and have fun!
