“When You And A Random Squirrel Share The Same Taste In Views”

Image shows a ground squirrel taking a moment to appreciate the view from a mountain during a hike.

Tony Gorin’s TikTok page tagline is “Capturing God’s art.” Scrolling through his posts is like a serene visit to worship at Mother Nature’s feet. While recording a panoramic mountain view during a hike, Tony saw a ground squirrel enjoying the same view. Although he called it a squirrel, this little guy is a ground squirrel, a little different than your standard bushy-tailed version.

The video was recorded on April 23, 2025. Spring is on full display at Mount Rainier National Park in Washington state. While snowcaps are visible on some peaks, the trees and ground cover are a lush green. We can see why Tony and the squirrel paused their hike to soak in the scene.

That scene is not the only serene forest capture. Tony has a penchant for finding relaxing hiking areas and recording videos. The location for this calm trail hike is unknown, but the vibe it offers at twilight is very restful. Another part of what appears to be the same trail is available here.

Tony has a way with forest animals.

On one hike, he had his squirrel friend along. Another day in Mount Rainier National Park, he had a wild bird eating right out of his hand.

Although feeding animals in the wild isn’t recommended, who can resist? For a nature lover, these opportunities don’t happen often enough. Tony’s videos include a variety of calm nature scenes. He shows us the running water of forest streams, quiet trails, cliffs over open water, and forests coming alive for the summer. Visiting Yellowstone National Park, Tony captured many different animals, including bears, an elk, a bison, and a wolf.

What began as a squirrel joining Tony on his hike has become pure relaxation in the forests of the Pacific Northwest.
