Whataburger is doing something special on August 8 for its 75th birthday, and you’re going to want to get there quickly. In honor of its 75th birthday, Whataburger customers can get a burger for just $.75. Yes, you read that correctly. You can get a whole burger for less than a buck. However, you must take a few steps to secure the deal, and it’s only available for one day.

Whataburger Will Give Every Customer A $.75 Burger On Its Birthday
Whataburger explained the 75th birthday deal on Instagram.
“It’s about time for .75¢ Whataburgers! Before you head to your closest restaurant, make sure to download the app and remember — this offer is one per customer. If multiple people are trying to redeem in one vehicle in our drive-thrus, they’ll each need to scan their own app at the window,” the company explained.
Of course, this is exciting news for Whataburger customers, but plenty of people on Instagram made sure to remind others to be kind to employees working on Whataburger’s birthday.
“Please be patient with you whataburger crew… I’m sure they aren’t even getting paid holiday pay for today.. be kind,” someone wrote.
“This is literally Doomsday for all the workers at every store with how busy it’s gonna be I feel bad lol,” another person shared.
This Whataburger employee had a tip.
“Make sure yall read the part that says ‘SCAN APP’ cant tell you how many rude and entitled customers I had to deal with bc they couldnt read,” they wrote.
Apparently, there was a glitch in the system, and Whataburger shared some intel with customers.
“UPDATE: We’re aware that there are Whataburger app login issues for some customers who use Facebook as their login method,” they wrote on Instagram. “If you are unable to login, you can still enjoy the National Whataburger Day .75¢ offer by going to the restaurant, showing us your app, and requesting the deal when you place your order!”
The $.75 Whataburger birthday deal is only available August 8 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
