According to Merriam-Webster, the dictionary definition of colorblind is “affected with partial or total inability to distinguish one or more chromatic colors.” A shopping trip with a colorblind person who doesn’t acknowledge they’re colorblind can be quite the adventure. There is no such thing as a color wheel for someone who is colorblind.
When a colorblind shopper goes clothing shopping alone, there might be some hilarious results. They may not come home with exactly what they thought they were getting when they saw it at the store. That is exactly what happened when this gentleman went shopping on his own. His wife recorded the results because she thought he bought a shirt in her favorite color.
She asks her husband, “What color is your shirt?” He looks down, then says, “Gray.”
And because he needed to emphasize his expertise, he grabbed his gray baseball cap and held it next to his new “gray” shirt, saying, “See? Exactly the same!”
By this time, his wife is snort-laughing (we did too). But he wasn’t done yet. As he fluffed his cap, he turned the inside toward the camera, pointed to the liner, and proudly told us what color it was. You guessed it — not even close!
“GREEN!”
Yep, that’s green, alright! The video is hilarious; you can see it below. It’s worth the effort to hear the wife snort-laughing at how serious and genuine he believes himself!
