Vin Diesel Tears Up Telling Paul Walker’s Daughter How Proud He’d Be of Her Today

Meadow Walker

Meadow Walker was just 15 years old when she lost her dad, Fast and the Furious star Paul Walker, in a car accident. Paul was only 40 years old, and his death rocked Hollywood. As his only child, Meadow inherited her father’s estate. She later founded the Paul Walker Foundation, dedicated to “spontaneous acts of goodwill.” Paul was well-known for his kind heart and genuine smile. His daughter wanted to keep that memory alive to honor the man who raised her. Meadow Walker isn’t the only person who loved Paul dearly. Vin Diesel, his Fast and the Furious co-star, also adored him and made sure to honor his dear friend and his daughter at a recent screening.

Vin Diesel Introduced Meadow Walker with a Heartfelt Speech

According to People, Vin Diesel announced Meadow Walker at a special midnight screening of Fast and the Furious at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.

“The person who was not going to let me come alone here to represent that brotherhood was Meadow Walker,” a tearful Vin said. “I’m gonna go and shed a tear real quick.”

He added that the franchise lived on after Paul’s death because of fans’ dedication and love for the films.

“The only reason why we’re making the finale for Fast for 2028… It’s because of each and every one of you that has given us your hearts and your loyalty,” Vin said. “Each and every one of you that has felt like you are a part of our family. You make us have to continue. You make us want to make you all proud.”

After the film ended, Meadow Walker once again joined Vin Diesel and gave a brief speech. She called her father’s dear friend a “source of strength” in her life. Vin then shared just how proud Paul would be of the woman she’s become. What a beautiful testament to true friendship.
