Mischievous Ventriloquist Puts Masks On Audience Members, When They Start Talking Everyone Is Cracking Up.

Nina Conti is an English actress, comedian, and ventriloquist. Conti has been a stand up comic since 2002 and has won numerous awards and competitions. Making others laugh is her business, and she’s darn good at it. Among her myriad of characters, her primary and crowd favorite puppet sidekicks are a white-haired Scottish grandmother named Granny and a deadpan and somewhat sinister monkey named Monk. But it seems her bag of tricks is endless.

In the video below recorded at The Apollo in London, Conti used people in her act rather than actual puppets. A face mask covers the lower half of an audience participant’s face and can be manipulated by a hand-piece held by Conti to make it look like the participant is talking.

Conti often uses this mask to put the less than willing participant in awkward and funny situations, such as making them say that they want nothing more than to dance in front of the audience, or kiss a stranger, while their body language suggests the opposite.

And the video below is no exception. Let the listener be warned, you’ll be cracking up all the way through.
