Danielle Newton is a mom, flight attendant, ultra-marathon runner, and fitness junkie. She recently received a package that was left, unceremoniously, on the side of her driveway. The UPS driver made a note that he couldn’t deliver due to the presence of a “loose dog.” There were no dogs that day, but farm life can give you surprises.

Silly UPS driver. He is obviously unaccustomed to delivering on a rural route. When you’re in farm country, you can expect to encounter kids that may not be human. That was what happened when this driver was unable to make his delivery. Three goat kids were roaming around untethered. That’s a pretty typical day on a farm.
Goats, while they can be playful and rambunctious, are mostly harmless. Especially young ones. During her final month of pregnancy, Danielle had a photoshoot with some of the animals on the farm. We’ll use that to show you that the “loose dog” probably didn’t keep the UPS driver from his delivery.
The photographer caught Danielle strolling among gentle horses, stopping to offer a nuzzle rub. Up by the barn, they stopped to visit the “loose dogs,” aka goats. The gentle animals didn’t jump, run, or lunge at Danielle. They calmly allowed her to pet them and stood still for chin scratches. They walked beside Danielle as she crossed their enclosed pasture.
We’re not sure what frightened the UPS driver, but they should probably visit a farm and get to know the animals a bit. To follow Danielle’s adventures in running or being a flight attendant, follow her on TikTok and Instagram. She has logged more than 1,000 miles pushing a stroller while running, and the scenery she passes is incredible.
