You read that correctly! There is a dog who knows how to play the drums. Sure, she’s not exactly comparable to most human drummers. But her skill level is still shockingly impressive. In fact, very few dogs are known to be this musically gifted. So, without further ado, let’s check out a short performance with both Anabel and her owner!
“My band has just fired the drummer. Is she available?” someone jokingly asked Anabel’s owner in reply to that popular video. Another commenter added, “Got me so emotional to see the connection you both have. And the way she looks right in your eyes.”

Needless to say, everyone who sees Anabel in action wants to know: How and why did she learn how to play the drums? Luckily, Anabel’s mom has already answered these questions. For the “how” part, the answer is that she uses something called clicker training. The “why” part, as you might imagine, is the definition of heartwarming.
“Good question! Yes, every time I picked up my cello to practice, she would either lie down directly under it or rest her chin on it,” she explained. “She’s a dog that just wants to be involved in whatever I’m doing.”
