Everyone always likes to take and share pictures of their kids on their first day back to school, and Jennifer Lee, a young mother in Greensboro, North Carolina wanted in on the action, too.
But unfortunately for Jennifer, it was looking like she’d have to wait a bit longer to get in on the “back-to-school”fun. After all, her baby girl is just a bit too young for school:

Jennifer, however, is not one to wait. If she couldn’t take a back-to-school photo of her daughter, she’d take one of her husband, Tyrelle, instead.

Unconventional, sure. But it makes a little more sense when you consider Tyrelle is an eighth-grade teacher at Southeast Guilford Middle School. And there’s no better way to connect with his students than getting a back-to-school photo himself!
“My husband is a pretty laid-back guy, so when I told him I wanted to take a ‘first day of school’ photo of him this year, he didn’t ask too many questions and said ‘okay,'” said Jennifer. ” Little did he know, I was preparing a special sign for him as well.”

The photo quickly went viral, and Jennifer says she has been getting messages from teachers all around the world saying Tyrelle’s picture has helped them beat those back-to-school blues.
“The one thing we hope people realize from this post — enjoy life! We see so many negative things every day, so focus on the positive.”

Can’t get enough of this fun-loving couple? Don’t worry– this probably won’t be the last we see of the Lees. Jennifer says she’s already thinking of how she’s going to top this pic when it’s actually time for her daughter’s first day. She’s got a few years to scheme, and we can’t wait to see what she comes up with!
