Makeovers are still all the rage, with TV shows taking everyday people from drab to fab.
When Kristen Duchene brought her boyfriend Kevin Spranzo onto Tyra Banks’s The Fab Life, she was pretty adamant that he be given a fashion makeover. Most importantly, she insisted Tyra and her stylist do something about the beard!

As Tyra’s makeover expert Joe explained, there were three possible looks available: musician Adam Levine, actor Jake Gyllenhaal, or soccer star David Beckham. It was ultimately up to Tyra’s audience to decide. So what did look did they go for with Kevin?

In the end, the audience decided on the Jake Gyllenhaal look, and it was a fabulous choice indeed!

Kristen was thrilled at her boyfriend’s successful makeover, and she kept exclaiming over and over how “hot” he looked.
She was very happy, and Kevin himself admitted that he liked his new look … although he wasn’t making any promises about the dreaded beard being gone forever.

But what was initially a makeover story was revealed to be something far more special. Kevin turned to Kristen and explained that while she believed the show was all about him, it was actually about her — and then he got down on one knee.
It turned out that the makeover was actually a cover for Kevin’s surprise marriage proposal to Kristen!

Kristen was stunned after she realized what was happening, but she quickly said yes. The audience and celebrity guests cheered as Kevin slid a beautiful ring onto Kristen’s trembling hand.
“I am still in shock,” Kristen later told the Hartford Courant. “And I can’t wait to have kids someday and tell them about it, too.”
