The Today Show’s’ ambush makeover’ segments have a knack at making people look their best – especially those who deserve it most.

How do we know? Not only do they always look incredible but the reaction from their family and friends is priceless. And this segment is no different.
Knowing the magic that stylists, Louis Licari and Jill Martin, continue to do, Aura Morrey knew she had to get her best friend, Annie Berrett on the show. So the two flew to New York and hoped to get plucked from the plaza to get the makeover of a lifetime.

The friends, who live over 2,000 miles apart and have been besties since they were teenagers. Even though they are far apart, they make a great effort to see each other at least once every year. But their 2017 summer trip to New York is going down as the most memorable reunion yet, because they were chosen to be the latest ‘ambush makeover’ recipients.
“No one deserves a makeover more than my friend Annie,” Aura said.

Annie’s makeover is one of the most moving yet. She had entire family in studio, and they were blown away by her new apperance.
This was the look Annie’s husband gave after taking off his blindfold. It was like seeing the love of his life again for the first time.

And after a moment to process what he just saw, he couldn’t help but tear up.

His reaction is just as sweet as their love story. Her husband Brad said, “I met her when she was 15, I was 17, and I fell in love the very first time I saw her.” And now they’ve been married for over 27 years!
