Texas summers are notoriously hot. Even lifelong residents find themselves surprised at how high the temperatures can rise and the damage the heat can cause. About 50 miles from Dallas, a street in the town of Greenville began to buckle in the extreme heat. Motorists who noticed the warped road slowed down. But one truck that didn’t see it, or perhaps didn’t care, continued to drive at normal speed, and the truck went airborne like the General Lee in The Dukes of Hazzard. Video captured the incredible moment, and it quickly went viral.

Witnesses Could Not Believe How the Texas Heat Changed the Landscape
The streets just couldn’t take the Texas heat and buckled beneath the vehicles. Witnesses filming audibly gasped as the truck flew into the air and hit the ground as if nothing happened. AccuWeather posted video on TikTok, and the comment section seemed just as baffled.
“Genuine question – would his truck be ok after that jump? I cannot imagine nothing broke??” Someone asked.
This person doesn’t think so. “Depends on the suspension system, but it is unlikely that something didnt break, most likely blew out his shocks.”
Others think the driver was having a good time.
“Either it was not paying attention or my truck‘s good enough let’s Dukes of hazardous this B and then thought too high too high,” a comment reads.
This person agreed, writing, “If that was intentional, I hope he had a blast… if it wasn’t, I hope he didn’t mess anything up on his truck.”
According to this comment, the Texas heat had been working on the road for a while, and it was just a matter of time. “That road has been bending for weeks….been slowing down on that spot and wondered when it would pop.”
