When The Voice premiered on NBC in April 2011, it changed the singing competition game for good. No longer did looks matter. The coaches chose their teams based solely on how the performers sounded. Since day one, Carson Daly has produced and hosted the show, but he will take a step back for the upcoming season. Instead, NBC announced Keke Palmer will take the helm as host for The Voice: Celebrity.

“It’s a new concept than what has aired for 30 seasons aka the ‘OG format’ where regular humans sing, chairs turn, teams are built, one winner crowned at the end. ‘Celeb Voice’ is a fun, NEW IDEA that features some big differences like… FAMOUS PEOPLE singing for 3 coaches to see if they have what it takes. There’s lots of new twists & turns,” Carson shared on Instagram.
Carson Daly Shared Why Keke Palmer Will Host
“I have been talking about it on @todayshow for a while now. I am not the right host for it. We have a NEW amazing HOST! The triple threat queen @keke who is PERFECT for it! I’m so grateful she carved out the time in her busy career to help us out,” Carson Daly explained of Keke Palmer.
Keke is equally excited and shared the news on her own Instagram.
Fans loved hearing about the twists and can’t wait to see Keke Palmer do her thing.
“Her and Shaq gotta have the most bookings known to mankind,” a fan pointed out.
This person agreed, writing, “I just know your schedulers are tireeeeddddd… but they know their job is secured because you stay booked!”
All this fan had to hear was Keke Palmer and they were in. “Look how she single-handedly gonna have me watching The Voice again,” they wrote.
The Voice: Celebrity will air in 2027 on NBC.
