Sweet Husband Surprises Wife Who Loves Christmas With Early Decorations.

When it comes to Christmas, most of us fit into one of two categories. Either we refuse to acknowledge the holiday before December 1, or we start decorating our homes the moment November arrives.

Author Troy Amdahl and his wife fall on opposite sides of this debate. For years, Troy has won the battle, making Kristen wait until after Thanksgiving to transform their home into a Christmas paradise. But this year, he decided Kristen deserved an early holiday gift.

In a recent Facebook post, Troy explained just how much Christmas means to his wife: “She loves ALL of it: the Hallmark movies, the decorating, the gift giving, family, the meaning.”

So to make this season as special as possible for her, Troy brought in a team of professional decorators led by Kim Stoegbauer of The TomKat Studio so they would be ready when November arrived!

After the team worked its holiday magic, he revealed the beautiful tree to his wife, and her reaction made it all worth it! Troy shared a photo of her on Facebook, writing, “This was after tears and after literally jumping up and down.”

But that’s not all the awesome husband had to say about the surprise:

For years, I resisted, digging my heels in, insisting ‘no decorations until after Thanksgiving.’ This year I surprised her with this. And by her reaction, my only disappointment is that I didn’t do this years ago. Heck, if it makes someone I love this much this happy, it can stay up all year as far as I’m concerned.

As anyone can see from the photo, the gesture meant the world to Kristen! And we’re certain it had more to do with Troy’s willingness to make her happy than it did with finally putting decorations out after Halloween.

Let’s all keep Troy’s gift in mind and go out of our way to show our loved ones we care – even if it means putting up decorations too early. After all, kindness is what the holidays are really about!
