3-Yr-Old Reunites With Grandma After 15 Months Apart And The Video Is Everything.

There is nothing like a hug from grandma. But that special gift has become much rarer – and consequently more valuable – over the last 12 months.

Out of concern for the safety of their loved ones, many people have been waiting months and months for that priceless moment when they will get to see their grandparents again. For one little boy in Ford City, Pennsylvania, that reunion finally happened!

Kelsey Chvala recently posted a Facebook video of her 3-year-old son Trax having a surprise reunion with his grandma, Nana Jean. Because of the pandemic, the pair hadn’t seen each other since Christmas 2019 – 15 long months ago.

As Kelsey told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4, “All he ever said was, ‘I wanna go to Nana’s, I miss my Nan.’ And it just breaks our heart.”

But that all changed when Jean finally received her second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine!

Kelsey and Jean immediately got to planning, and Kelsey decided to take Trax to the playground after day care… where Nana Jean would be waiting!

In a video, we can hear Kelsey say, “Go see her!” Then little Trax begins running toward his grandma before embracing her in a giant hug.

“I cry every time I see it, I do,” Jean said.

It’s enough to leave us in tears, too – not only out of joy for Trax and Nana Jean, but also out of excitement for the day when we can experience the same kind of reunion with our favorite people!

“The reaction was absolutely priceless and filled our hearts with so much love,” Kelsey added. “It makes me want to tear up right now because it’s just such a precious moment that we haven’t had.”

Watch their heartwarming reunion in the video below, and share this story with the loved ones you can’t wait to see.
