“Three’s Company” Revival Planned for Show’s 50th Anniversary

Three's Company

It’s hard to believe we met Jack Tripper, Chrissy Snow, and Janet Wood 5 decades ago. “Three’s Company” premiered on ABC in 1976, and fans fell in love with the roommates’ antics. John Ritter’s physical comedy and wild storylines made for a very entertaining 30 minutes.  Sadly, John passed away from an acute aortic dissection on September 11, 2003. His family founded the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health. To honor John and the show’s 50th anniversary, the foundation announced the upcoming “Come And Knock On Our Door Tour.”

“We’ll be in New York, Dallas, Cleveland, and LA through 2027. In each city, we’ll host a live staged reading of an episode of Three’s Company,” the JRF announced.

Members of the Original “Three’s Company” Cast Plan to Participate

Amy Yasbeck, John’s widow, and Joyce DeWitt will host the Evening From The Heart event at Joe’s Pub on Monday, November 2, 2026. This will kick off the “Three’s Company” revival.

“This event is a celebration of John, the joy he brought to all of us through ‘Three’s Company,’ and the community that continues to carry his memory forward,” Amy shared in a news release. “Bringing the show to the stage 50 years later is our way to honor him while helping us continue our mission to save lives through aortic dissection awareness and research.”

Jason Biggs will step in as Jack Tripper in New York City. Richard Kline, the show’s Larry Dallas, will narrate.

“Having been on set during the taping of ‘Three’s Company,’ I got to see John’s extraordinary physical comedy and warmth firsthand. He brought joy to everyone in that room,” Donald Taffner Jr., president of DLT Entertainment, shared. “Bringing these classic scripts back to life on stage is not only a tribute to a show that meant, and continues to mean, so much to millions, but a meaningful way to honor John’s legacy and support lifesaving aortic health research.”
