It’s not easy being a pet. One minute their human claims they want to hold and pet them all day long, and the next minute they’re gone for hours at a time doing something they call a “job,” whatever that means.
Unfortunately for Darla, an adorable black cat with quite the TikTok following, her dad is often gone for even longer than that. Since he works out of town, he can be gone for days or weeks at a time. She still has her mom, Megan Hoag, to keep her company, but it’s just not the same.
Luckily, though, Darla is able to communicate with her beloved dad through a camera in their house! It may not be much, but getting to hear her dad’s voice, even if it’s just through a camera, means the world to her. In fact, Megan will often catch her sitting nearby, staring at the camera as she eagerly waits for her dad to “visit.â€
